6:30 pm
Join the Entrada Institute, Utah’s Colorado Plateau arts and culture organization, at 6:30 on Saturday, October, 22, 2011, for a fundraising celebration with great food, live music, a theatrical reading, and a live auction.
Entrada supports the creation of new works of art relating to the Colorado Plateau, a summer series of arts and cultural events in Torrey, Utah, and sponsors scholarships for students at Wayne High School in Utah’s Wayne County.
This year’s fundraising evening will feature Debora Threedy’s new one-act play, Underground, which was inspired by the 2009 FBI artifact raid in Blanding, Utah. This innovative play explores archaeology, greed, and taking responsibility for unintended consequences. Plus, Entrada’s Ward Roylance Award will be presented to this year’s winner.
The festivities are only $10 per person and held at the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business Auditorum at Westminster College at 1840 South 1300 East in Salt Lake City. The celebration is casual dress and open to all lovers of Utah’s red rock country.
