JOB DESCRIPTION

REQUIREMENTS

Non-Profit and/or business experience required. Those having experience with a membership organization will be given greater consideration.. Must have good organizational skills, including good verbal and written communication skills. Fundraising and grant writing are essential element of this
position. Applicant should live in Wayne County and/or have a working knowledge of the area.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

The person chosen for this position will work at the direction of the President of the Board of Directors. The following duties may be performed in collaboration with committees of the board or performed solely by the OM/ED. This position is one-half time or 20 hours per week. While it is a year round position, much of the time will be during the summer when the majority of the programs and events take place. The Executive Committee will review this position after six months.


ADMINISTRATIVE

Draft yearly business plan including; budget, marketing, fundraising, public relations, and programming. This will be reviewed by the Executive Committee and requires passage by the Board of Directors.

Collaborate with Board President on planning meeting agenda/board retreats

Open and oversee incoming mail

File yearly state permits and applications

Review insurance policy each year to assure adequate coverage

Oversee timely filing of employment taxes (state/federal)

Tie out yearly finances for the yearly audit with accountant

Work with web-master to keep information current on Entrada website

Banking

              Bank all income – allocate to appropriate categories in Quickbooks

              Devise professional money handling for events

              Monthly bank reconciliations

              Monthly financial reports for board meetings


MEMBERSHIP

Maintain and update membership files

Explore and plan ways to increase membership

Membership communication

              Internet

              Newsletter coordination with newsletter committee


FUNDRAISING

Grant writing/acquisition

Follow up grant reporting

Cultivate donor prospect list and sponsorships for event

Follow up donor communications

              Thank you notes

              Updates on our events and programs


PUBLIC RELATIONS

Generate consistent method of distributing press releases

Explore new press contacts

Community relations

Program/Event coordination


COMPENSATION

Salary 18,000.00 per year (20 hours per week = 18.00 per hour)

Insurance through Utah Non-Profit Association after 1st year of service

Review after 1st 6 months by Executive Committee
