The Entrada Institute is a creative economic engine for Wayne County and the surrounding area. You can help us actively prepare to meet the growing demand for cultural services and in having an effective voice in identifying solutions for social and environmental issues affecting the Colorado Plateau.

After twenty-five years of effective programming in borrowed space at Robbers Roost Bookstore, the time has come to build a versatile and sustainable cultural complex to propel the Entrada into the next quarter century. Your gift will make a significant difference for those who live in and visit Capitol Reef country and for the stark magnificence of the Colorado Plateau.

1. Bequests / Direct Contributions
Bequests and direct cash contributions are one of most common ways for you to support the Entrada Institute. These contributions will support our continued delivery of cultural arts programming; enhance the build out of needed amenities like the new stage and cultural, and sustain in-residencies in arts, music, science and humanities.

By making a direct charitable contribution by check, credit card or money order today you enable us to carry out our mission and see your generosity put in action. If you are interested in making a future bequest to the Entrada Institute, there are several other options available to you which may best fit you and your family’s needs, including:

• A gift of non-liquid assets in your will or living trust;
• A charitable gift annuity;
• A charitable remainder trust;
• A charitable lead trust;
• A donor advised fund; and
• Memorial or tribute gifts.

2. Securities and Mutual Fund Gifts
Securities and mutual funds that have increased in value and been held for more than one year are one of the more popular assets to use when making a gift to the Entrada Institute. A gift of securities or mutual funds to us today or in the near future offers you the opportunity to support our work in cultural arts and place making while realizing important benefits for yourself such as in the reduction or elimination of federal capital gains taxes on the transfer. You may further be entitled to a federal income tax charitable deduction based on the fair market value of the securities when transferred.

Securities are most often used to support our work in the form of:

• An outright gift. When you donate securities to the Entrada Institute, you receive the same income tax savings that you would if you wrote us a check, but with the added benefit of eliminating capital gains taxes on the transfer, which can climb as high as 20 percent.
• A transfer on death (TOD) account. A TOD designation on your brokerage or investment account, is paid over to one or more persons or charities after your lifetime.

3. Charitable Gift Annuities
There is also a way for you to support the Entrada Institute and remain confident that you have created dependable income in your retirement years through a charitable gift annuity. This type of charitable donation can provide you with regular income payments and simultaneously enable us to further place making and community building through your favorite cultural arts work. This method of giving may also enable you to qualify for a variety of tax benefits, including a federal income tax charitable deduction when you itemize.
