A local musician, Cora Mae Taylor, performed at Robbers Roost, 185 West Main Street, in Torrey, Utah, Saturday night, May 4. With some of her friends, Cora Mae Taylor will play songs from her new album, Red White Blue and Green. She has written many songs that bring back memories from her childhood, as well as celebrate the vivid colors of Wayne County.

In 1915, George C. Fraser, a 43-year-old attorney, and his 18-year-old son, George Jr., traveled 2,000 miles by rail from Morristown, New Jersey, to Salina, Utah, to explore southern Utah. Led by Kanab guide Dave Rust, they spent a month experiencing the area on horseback. Their adventures were discussed by Frederick Swanson, historian and author of Dave Rust: A Life in the Canyons, during a presentation at Robber's Roost, 200 West and Main Street in Torrey, on Saturday, October 25, at 7:00 p.m.

Stephen Trimble began his writing and photography career as a park ranger, including a season at Capitol Reef National Park. The breadth of his awards mirrors the wide embrace of his work: The Sierra Club's Ansel Adams Award for photography and conservation; The National Cowboy Museum’s Western Heritage “Wrangler” Award; and a Doctor of Humane Letters from his alma mater, Colorado College, honoring his efforts to increase our understanding of Western landscapes and peoples.

Michael has a stellar legal career as a litigator, a law professor, and Chief Justice of the Utah Supreme Court. He remains fascinated with the appellate process.
