“Solid as a Rock: Capitol Reef Geology” explores the geology and geologic processes that lead to the creation of Capitol Reef National Park. The park is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Come join the celebration!
John Kuehnert is an Interpretive Park Ranger at Capitol Reef National Park. He is originally from southern Arizona and attended college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He has always enjoyed the outdoors and travel. His hobbies include snowshoeing, photography, history, natural history and geology. This is his second season at Capitol Reef National Park. He has worked in several other parks including Grand Teton NP, Salinas Pueblo Missions NM, Fort Union NHS, Curecanti NRA, Canyonlands NP, Scotts Bluff NM and a winter in the Cascades of Oregon at Crater Lake NP.
