The Entrada Institute presents Mary O’Brien and her presentation “The Return of Beaver to Southern Utah”.
Mary O’Brien is with the Grand Canyon Trust and is an expert on beaver history and ecology, along with its reintroduction in the Fishlake and Dixie National Forests to improve riparian areas and stream ecology.
She helped forge the new statewide Beaver Management Plan with DWR and other agencies.
She’ll share information about the beaver population of Utah and also highlight the Beaver Festival she is spearheading in Escalante in September.
